The Stroopwafel or Dutch Carmel Cookie is a delicious and unique type of cookie that has been around for centuries. Its origins date back to 1784 when a baker from the Netherlands created this delightful cookie.
Traditional Stroopwafels are made with two thin waffle-type wafers which are cooked at a high temperature on a waffle iron. It is then sliced in half and filled with a rich caramel filling.
